St. Frances X. Cabrini aimed to have an elite children’s choir to compete locally, nationally and internationally. It is with this goal that the school hired a professional music conductor-teacher and member of Pueri Cantores an official organization of youth choirs within the Catholic Church. Pueri Cantores is the national student choral organization of the Catholic tradition – that singing can be an instrument of worshipping God. St. Paul in his letter to Colossians encourages them to teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as they sing psalms, hymns, spiritual songs with gratitude in their hearts to God (cf. Col 3:16).
