We’re a TEAM!
We believe that parents are the primary teachers of their children. You are the first, most long-lasting, most important teachers in your child’s life. That is why we at St. Frances X. Cabrini School continually solicit your involvement, encouragement and support.
Research shows that parent involvement is high on the list of factors contributing to a student’s success in school. Our goal is to work together with you to provide the BEST educational program possible for your children.
How can you get involved? Show your children you are interested and concerned. At home, take the time each day to talk to them about their experiences in school. Ask about class work and homework assignments based on the weekly newsletters sent home on the first day of the week. Your Parent Bulletin envelope serves as a communication tool between you and the school. Your consistent interest in their progress and personal development in school will motivate them to want to learn. Progress reports are sent home twice a month and your child’s performance/grade are posted and updated daily at www. gradelink.com, an online grading system, for immediate grade access.
Get involved at school by maintaining contact with your children’s teachers. Feel free to ask questions. Attend parent conferences. Also, attend the general PTO meeting conducted four times a year, 2 in the fall and 2 in the spring. Be supportive of the exciting schoolwide activities held each year. Let your child know you are working together with the teacher and the school to help make your child’s education beneficial everyday.
Home and school working together as a team can make the school year a very successful one for your child.
